This combination of industry and product groups enables the firm to deliver advice, strategies and capital with a universal banking approach to our targeted client high growth, entrepreneurial, middle market companies.Position available for immediate hire.Job DescriptionOur Technology team is actively looking for an experienced Analyst (2nd / 3rd year) to join our team in San Francisco. The candidate will be working closely with senior members of the Technology Group with opportunities to gain exposure to both sell side and buy side advisory as well as underwriting and placing equity and debt offerings for public and privately held companies. Technology Analysts work on a variety of strategic transactions for leading and emerging companies spanning many verticals including Software, Internet, and Hardware. You will work on several projects simultaneously with teams of professionals, both within the group and across the firm.This position requires in-person office attendance Monday-Friday.Responsibilities:Create and prepare client presentations, drafting offering memoranda, internal committee memoranda, management and board presentations and other materials as requiredTransaction execution involving direct client interaction and communicationManaging client due diligence processesConducting extensive financial modeling and perform valuation analysesAssessing industry research and trendsQualifications:At least 1-2 years of experience in investment banking, primarily Technology relatedPassion for the Technology industryStrong Microsoft Excel skills essentialStrong verbal and written communication skillsElevated attention to detail and consistency in work product Strong work ethic and team player mentality with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, lean deal team work environmentOrganized and proactive; motivation to contribute to a positive, collaborative team cultureStrong interpersonal skillsDealogic, CapIQ, Bloomberg and MS Office suite knowledge strongly preferredSeries 63, 79 licenses and Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) Exam required at time of hiring or shortly thereafterCompensation:For job postings in California, Oppenheimer is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the salary range for this role. This salary range is specific to California and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making salary decisions including but not limited to your skills, qualifications, experience, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. A reasonable estimate of the current base salary range is $100,000.00 - $110,000.00 at the time of this posting.
